"Avto-Moto-ART" near Tula

105757482Leonid Zyakin and his collection

Leonid Pavlovich Zyakin collects motorcycles and scooters about 30 years. Today his collection - is about 70 units of motos. Most of them - soviet motos and scooters, but there are some foreign models, which has great influence fot Soviet moto-building: NSU, DKW, Java etc.

Zyakin is going to collect more than 100 units. Since this year it is officially registered as the museum "Avto-Moto-ART".
The central and unique part of his collection is a group of motos, producted by Tula Machinery Factory (TMZ - Tul'sky Mashinostroitel'ny Zavod).
The first model, built by TMZ was the T-200, a 1:1 copy of Glas Goggoroller. T-200 was built in 1957.

In the following, TMZ built more then 100 models based on the T-200 and it's engine. including more than 80 experimental, non-mass-productioned samples.

Zyakin is going to collect about 40 TMZ motos. Today he has 35 of them, including about 15 rare experimental models.

Leonid works in tight co-operation with ex-engineers of TMZ. Today few of them are still alive! Of course, they are old men of 70-80 years, but thay are very happy to help a person, who saves their "kids".

By tha way, since 1990s, when moto-production on TMZ was closed, factory's museum became very poor: there are only 3 units of motos inside. The direction of the factory is not interested in supplying a museum.

Today all units are located in Zyakin's houses near Tula (Leninsky district, Kharino villiage). At the moment they try to get some building with the help of the Tula administration.

And here are some comment on the first photos of Zyakins museum:
